Fit and space considerations: at 68" long, the DECKED system leaves roughly 5.4" of empty space between the tailgate and the tail end of the drawers. The design ensures the drawers require about 4" of clearance to open, but the initial 5½" of the drawer is occupied by the handle cavity and drawer taper, making it nearly impossible to retrieve items from the drawers with the tailgate closed. This is a trade-off that keeps the system rigid and weatherproof while you’re on the move.

Notes for compatibility and setup:

• Drawer extension—the drawers are full bed-length but do not fully extend. Maximum midsize short drawer extension is 42".
• Bed racks—works with Leitner Design bed racks and many other bed rack models. If you’re unsure about compatibility, Contact our customer service team.
• Bedliners—compatible with spray-in bed liners, but not with drop-in plastic liners.
• BedRug—works with BedRug mats, but not with a BedRug full liner.

Operational realities and practical tips: Access to the outlet and both storage compartments will be compromised to some extent, so plan around that in your workflow. If you need more reach, you can remove the storage compartment doors before installation for limited access. Note: you must remove the doors prior to installing the DECKED system. The power outlet can still be used if you insert a flat head pigtail extension cord.
