DECKED DRAWER SYSTEM- Ford F150 Heritage (1997-2004)

The DECKED Drawer System for Ford F-150 Heritage (1997-2004) is a purpose-built truck bed organizer that transforms your pickup into a secure, double-decked storage workspace. Designed specifically for a 1997–2003 F-150 with a 6'6" bed and compatible with the 2004 Heritage Edition, this system maximizes cargo space while keeping tools and gear organized, dry, and easily accessible. Note: it does NOT fit the newer body style introduced in 2004.

This DECKED Drawer System fits a 1997-2003 Ford F-150 pickup with a 6'6" bed length and also fits the 2004 Heritage Edition. If you’re steering toward a newer 2004 body style, this setup won’t be compatible. All you need is the standard full-size DECKED system for seamless installation.

Key compatibility notes and upgrade paths

Note: Since 2004 was a transition year, Ford produced old and new body styles for the 2004 F-150 with a 6'6" bed length. If you have stepped down passenger and driver side door windows, you have the newer F-150 and will need the DECKED System DF3. For more information about the 2004 Ford F-150 CLICK HERE.

Important physical specs and real-world usage

The standard length DECKED system is 75.25", so there will be about 3.5" of empty space between the tailgate end of the DECKED system and the tailgate (blue). DECKED drawers require 4" to be opened, but the first 5 1/2" of the drawer are taken up by the handle cavity and drawer taper. This makes it nearly impossible to remove items from the drawers with the tailgate closed.

Limitations and compatibility with bed configurations

• Drawers are full bed-length drawers, but do not fully extend. Maximum drawer extension: 42”.
• NOT COMPATIBLE with any in-bed towing packages, including 5th Wheel and Gooseneck setups.
• LINERS: Works with spray-in bed liner, but NOT with a drop-in plastic bed liner.
• BEDRUG: Works with BedRug mat, but NOT with a BedRug full liner.
• If your Ford has a tailgate assist handle mounted on the tailgate, it MAY interfere with the DECKED unit depending on the model year. You can easily remove the handle and the tailgate step will not impact installation or use. LEARN MORE
