Important setup notes: Because 2004 was a transition year, Ford produced both old and new body styles for the 6'6" bed. The drawers themselves don’t fully extend to avoid tipping and wear; the maximum drawer extension is 42" due to physics. The first 5½" of each drawer are taken by the handle cavity and taper, which means accessing items with the tailgate closed is impractical. If you’re aiming for maximum reach, plan your load so items live where you can access them with the tailgate open or partially open.

• Drawers are full bed-length but do not fully extend. Maximum extension: 42".
• Not compatible with any in-bed towing packages, including 5th Wheel and Gooseneck configurations.
• Bed liners: works with spray-in bed liner, but not with drop-in plastic bed liners.
• BedRug mat is supported, but BedRug full liner is not compatible.
