The toolbox is designed to carry up to 50 lbs, and our drop-testing confirms it can withstand a drop from typical carrying heights or from an open tailgate. For safety, carry heavier loads close to your chest with both hands using the built-in grip locations. The D-Box is capable of handling more than what’s recommended for regular daily use, but optimal practice is to respect the 50 lb guideline for longer journeys.
